Belts
What is the most important part of the holster? The belt! Many times you'll see someone with an expensive gun in a cheap holster on a dimestore belt - notice how the belt sags, so that the gun droops like Barney Fife! Not only is this unsafe and unconcealable, it makes the gun difficult to draw - you have to lift the gun high enough so that the flimsy belt finally "catches", only then can you get the gun out of the holster! I've seen circumstances where the gun was literally in someone's armpit before it cleared the holster! This translates to slow, and sometimes impossible, draws.
A properly designed belt is also a vital part of the retention features of the holster. It gives the necessary mechanical support to the holster so that the proper amount of tension is imparted to the gun - enough so that it stays in place, but still is quickly and easily drawn by its rightful owner.
A flimsy belt is not only functionally deficient, it isn't comfortable! I've found through hard experience that the only way to maintain comfort while carrying the weight of a gun and accessories is to have a belt that is absolutely rigid. The difference in comfort is nothing short of amazing! My belts are made with an internal reinforcement that gives it the desired rigidity but still allows the belt to curve easily around your waist, and be of a presentable thickness. This avoids the mannish extra-thick "gunfighter" look, but often with even better rigidity!
To better fit you, I offer my belts in three styles: straight, moderately contoured (curved), and fully contoured. Please contact me for help in determining which is best for you!
How to order the proper belt length: Wear an existing belt with your normal style of pants, and note which hole is where the belt fits you best. Take the belt off and measure from the outer end of the buckle to that hole. This is the length that you order, and it will be the center of the 5 holes on the new belt. Do not measure your waist or use your pant size; this will give an incorrect length!
(Remember that if you plan to wear an IWB, you will need to add 2 inches to the length.)

Standard Belt: This is a smooth
surface, simple yet elegant belt. Note the unique
buckle; solid brass, and available in either gold-
or silver-tone, it features a special design that
makes it both easier to buckle and extends the life
of your belt!
The buckle's tongue goes into the belt from the front, not the back - you don't need to pull the belt back over the buckle to get the tongue into it. This means that your belt won't be pulled against the edges of the buckle (wearing the belt's edges), and it won't suffer bending marks on the front. Plus, it's more stylish than the plain buckles everyone else uses! This is the very nicest buckle I've found yet! (Shown: Mahogany Brown color, gold tone buckle, straight cut.)
Available widths: 1-1/4", 1-1/2" (nominal.)
Straight cut $79 Moderate Contour $89 Full Contour $99
