2 Men Wanted in Violent Robbery Caught on Video

HONOLULU, HI (June 8, 2016) - An attack in broad daylight left a woman dazed and confused, and police are asking for help finding them.

On Saturday, May 28th, at around 5:19 p.m., a 55-year-old woman was talking on her phone in the parking structure at 2215 Aloha Drive when she was approached by a man. The man struck the woman, knocking her to the ground.

The man returned to a waiting vehicle and approached the victim again. Police say he grabbed her phone and dragged her about 10 feet. He then fled the scene in a 2004 Honda Accord.

“It was a random act. She was on the phone talking to someone when he appeared and knocked her out,” said Kim Buffett, Honolulu CrimeStoppers.

Abel Tamargo is the resident manager at the Aloha Towers Waikiki. He pulled in just as the suspects were getting away. But not before they reversed right up to the camera, clearly showing its license plate SSZ 680.

"You should be ashamed of yourself, and if anyone knows this guy, they should turn him in. If it were my son, I’d turn him in after whooping his butt,” said Tamargo.

Tamargo says the woman is back home from the hospital but hasn’t moved her car since. He says she's still frightened but believes the suspects will get caught.
